“Great book! I was quickly drawn into the story lines and character development. I really enjoyed how it all came together ...”

What's going on?

If you have been wondering why I haven't been posting much lately, I have an answer for you. Well, they finally returned. That's right, the aliens I told you about found me in my new sanctuary. I thought moving would get me off their radar. But no, they found me. About a month ago, the took me up and removed the giant probe. Thinking that was the end of the ordeal, I allowed myself to relax. What a mistake. They returned about a week later. Since then, they have been beaming me up every night. Oh, the stories I could tell.

Actually, I have been trying my hand at freelance writing and it has been taking up most of my writing time. Additionally, I have been adapting "Web Site" to a screenplay. Be forewarned, your time is running out to get the book before it becomes a movie. Come on, give it a read. Don't you want to be able to tell all your friends that you read it before it was a movie.

Falling asleep can be dangerous

While I was trying to think of something to blog, I fell asleep. I had the most bizarre dream that I was typing out an incredible story about a small island in the South Pacific that inhabited by four-foot-tall, lesbian, automechanics. Although I was having a difficult time trying to reconcile why a small island in the Southern Hemispere came to be the home of this odd tribe, my fingers continued typing. The story flowed past the untenable parts, like why were they all exactly four feet tall? How could the group continue to thrive in the absense of men? And how and when did they develop their unnatural affinity internal combustion engine driven vehicles that they had never actually seen?

Despite these apparent gaps of logic, the story made a great deal of sense in my state of fitfull slumber. It seems that I was the central character of this ridiculous plot. I came to be on the island after a thirty-thousand foot free fall from an exploded airliner - wow, what a fall, I gotta tell ya. There I was falling, falling, falling and then wham, I hit the beach. Miraculously unhurt, I stood up to find myself surrounded by the inhabitants of this tiny paradise. Of course, they welcomed me as "the man that fell from the sky".

Living the next three years as their king, I was finally rescued by Sponge Bob and Patrick. Upon my return to the U.S., I was, of course, treated as a fabulous celebrity. Just as things were getting interesting, I awoke. Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I took a look at my computer screen. Much to my chagrin, I found this crappy blog typed out in it's entirity - without a single typo! So, I thought "what the hell" and I clicked on "Publish Post".

Nancy Pelosi

The Democrats have taken control of both houses of Congress for the first time in twelve years. To me, this is a very good thing and it has the possiblity to a great thing. As of Jan 3, the third highest elected official in our country will be a WOMAN! How cool is that. Maybe, just maybe, she'll be able to provide a shining example of how to govern to all the testosterone-filled, ego-driven assholes that are present in both parties. Maybe, just maybe, she will do such a fantastic job that Americans will actually vote more woman into positions of power. Maybe, just maybe, she will have the vision to work with and give leadership positions to members of the Black Caucus. Maybe, just maybe, she'll be smart enough to extend a hand to the Latino Caucus. Maybe, just maybe she'll open the eyes of all Americans to the fact that diversity is good and is the best way to solve the issues we face as a county. Maybe, just maybe, she will teach us that ethics and clean government matter. Maybe, just maybe, she will be able to mimimize our differences and focus on solutions. Maybe, just maybe, she will get the message out the needs of all people matter. Maybe, just maybe, she point us in the right direction.

Please Nancy, don't let us down.
